Storage conditions for Hot Melt Adhesive Film

In order to ensure the stable performance of Thermoplastic hot melt adhesive films and extend their service life, specific storage conditions must be followed:

Temperature control: The ideal storage temperature is between 5℃ and 25℃. If the temperature is too high, exceeding 30℃, the film may soften slightly and become sticky due to the heat, which will not only affect the appearance and integrity of the film, but may also cause changes in its internal structure, reduce viscosity and other properties. If the temperature is too low, below 5℃, the film will become hard and brittle, making it difficult to cut and fit in subsequent use, and may break during the bending process.

Humidity management: Relative humidity should be maintained at 40% - 60%. If the humidity is too high, exceeding 70%, the film is susceptible to moisture, and moisture may penetrate into the film, causing chemical reactions, affecting its curing performance and bonding effect, and even causing the film to mold and deteriorate. If the humidity is too low, below 30%, excessive loss of moisture in the film may reduce the flexibility of the film and affect its performance.

Packaging and placement: Keep the integrity of the original packaging of the film and avoid placing it randomly after opening. If it has been opened, the remaining part needs to be tightly wrapped with a sealed bag or plastic wrap to prevent air and moisture from entering. When storing, the film should be placed flat to avoid multiple layers of stacking and heavy pressure to prevent deformation of the film and uneven distribution of the adhesive, which will affect its performance. At the same time, the film should be stored away from heat sources, fire sources and chemical reagents to prevent damage to the film's performance due to high temperature, chemical reactions, etc.
