Among them, the hot melt adhesive film without release paper is called baseless hot melt adhesive film, or hot melt adhesive bare film, which means that the hot melt adhesive film has only a single layer of adhesive film without backing paper; on the contrary, the hot melt adhesive film with release paper has a layer of release oil paper (glassine or pearl paper) on one side of the adhesive film, which is also called hot melt adhesive film with backing paper. The main difference between hot melt adhesive film with and without release paper is in the use. For details, please refer to the article "Differences between hot melt adhesive film with and without release paper".

Hot melt adhesive films are classified into PA, PES, TPU, EVA, PO, EAA, etc. according to their ingredients. Hot melt adhesive films with different ingredients have different melting points, functional properties, colors and suitable bonding materials, and need to be selected comprehensively according to needs.

From the color classification, it is divided into: transparent, white matte (translucent), milky white and black. Transparent and white matte are the two most commonly used colors, which are also the original colors of the material; while milky white and black adhesive films are made by adding colorant materials during the production process of the adhesive film. Only a few fields have requirements for the color of the adhesive film. Therefore, the production of milky white and black hot melt adhesive films is less and the price will be relatively expensive.
