Several Points To Pay Attention To When Selecting Adhesive Films
Apr 11, 2024
Hot melt adhesive film is a type of adhesive that is widely used in shoe making, various chemical industries, and other industries. There are many types of adhesive films available on the market, and the adhesive performance of different types of adhesive films varies greatly in different temperature environments. For users, before using adhesive film to composite products, it is essential to choose the appropriate type of adhesive film to achieve satisfactory bonding results.
When users choose hot melt adhesive films, they should pay attention to the following issues
Clearly define the color of the selected adhesive film. When users use adhesive films to composite different types of products, there may be certain differences in color requirements. Some product composites do not have specific requirements for the color of the adhesive film. Yellow adhesive film is sufficient, and its adhesion is much better than other colored adhesive films. But if the bonded item has requirements for the color of the adhesive film, the corresponding color of the adhesive film needs to be selected according to the requirements.
Before starting to use the adhesive film for bonding, it is necessary to clean the dust and oil stains on the surface of the object to be bonded, so as to promote the adhesion of the adhesive film to be fully utilized in the subsequent bonding process.
There may be certain differences in the time required for the lamination of different types of hot melt adhesive films. In most cases, the operation time of the adhesive film is around fifteen seconds, but with the continuous development of assembly line production methods, the time required for the adhesive film operation is gradually shortened, and some can even complete the entire composite in just 5 seconds. When selecting adhesive films, it is important to consider whether the bonding time can meet your production needs.
The early and late nature of bonding. The formation of viscosity of hot melt adhesive film can be divided into early and late stages. Only by maintaining consistency in the adhesion of early and late stages can the stability of the object being bonded become stronger. In the process of producing adhesive films, attention should be paid to maintaining their unique oxygen resistance, acid resistance, etc., so as to better select the required type of adhesive film based on the different materials being bonded.
