The Difference Between Hot Melt Adhesive Film And Hot Melt Adhesive Mesh Film

Apr 19, 2024

Everyone knows that hot melt adhesive film can be applied in the leather case and luggage industry. The materials used in luggage are bonded to the surface of the material through high-temperature composite equipment, and then cut according to the process requirements. Hot melt adhesive film and hot melt adhesive mesh film are two forms of expression, and their uses and performance will have different characteristics:
1. Breathability
Hot melt adhesive film is a type of paper made by melting hot melt adhesive. The hot melt adhesive film has good waterproof properties, and there are gaps in the middle of the hot melt adhesive mesh film, similar to a "silk" connection, so the breathability of the hot melt mesh film is relatively good.
2. Stiffness
The stiffness of the hot melt adhesive film can be imagined, and its impact on the hardness of the fabric (or other materials) after bonding is significant. The connection between the hot melt adhesive mesh films is not very tight, so the impact on the fabric is relatively small.
3. Weight level
The difference in production process between hot melt adhesive film and mesh film results in a lighter weight of mesh film under the same size, while the weight of hot melt adhesive film is heavier.
4. Differences in viscosity
Based on the above situation, it is not difficult to see that the viscosity of the hot melt adhesive film is greater than that of the mesh film. The hot melt adhesive film is more firmly adhered. In conditions where the required breathability strength is not very high, the application of the hot melt adhesive film is more common. For those with high requirements for touch and breathability, the hot melt adhesive mesh film can be used.
